Thrives in the Willamette Valley of Oregon, with its 40” of yearly rain, to the high desert of Eastern Washington, Oregon, Idaho & Northern California, with often only 9” yearly. It rapidly spreads by producing an abundance of seeds. It is a host plant for the painted lady butterfly.
