A native grass-like sedge that grows in moist low grounds and withstands fluctuating levels of water. It produces an abundance of seeds which are consumed by wildlife along with the plant. The roots form a thick mass which help with erosion control.

Best planted in the fall since it requires 60 days of cold to break dormancy. Sow on or near the surface.
