A native, clump-forming rush suited for wetland and pond-edge restoration. It thrives in moist to saturated soils and can tolerate shallow standing water up to approximately 2–4 inches deep. It spreads easily by rhizomes.

Plant in the fall to break dormancy. Surface sow, lighlty pressing into soil.
